You may experience one or more of the following temporary symptoms:
- drooping of the eyelid on the side of the injection
- stuffiness of the nose
- bloodshot eye
These signs are called “Horner’s Syndrome”. Don’t be alarmed – the symptoms will disappear in several hours.
You may experience hoarseness and/or tightness in the throat. This occurs because the injection site is close to the vocal cords. This can result in some swelling of the tissue in that area. You should make sure you are able to cough before drinking fluids or eating solid food.
These symptoms should pass in several hours.
